Our attorneys strive to provide the best advice and legal services to our clients.  Charges generally range between $175-$250 per hour.  Bankruptcy petition preparation and several other services are frequently handled on a flat fee basis. Legal fees are sometimes chargeable against an opposing party and sometimes this law firm is paid based on a percentage of the benefit provided to our client.

                      Comments from Clients:

I "will be using Jonathan for future work. He is enthusiastic about what he does and knowledgable. I make very good first judgements of people when I meet them and Jonathan made me feel comfortable, and felt his advice was sincere and very good. I'd refer him to other persons with no second thought."

“Jonathan Drewes and his staff are excellent.  I have delt with other law firms, yet none have treated me with this level of courtesy and respect.   When my legal concerns were important, I always received a prompt email or phone call.  Jonathan and his staff have integrity, a broad knowledge of law, and a passion for justice.  In my opinion, this is absolutely the best law firm you will find in Minneapolis.”

Business Law and Litigation (contract disputes, shareholder/partnership disputes, fraud)

We assist in contract drafting and contract dispute resolution, including analysis of your rights and options after contract breach. We represent clients through mediation, arbitration and litigation.

We represent clients through partnership or ownership planning and disputes. This often involves entity creation, dissolution, transfer of ownership interests, and mediation, arbitration or litigation.

We investigate corporate fraud and assist when necessary in “veil piercing” litigation.

Real Estate Law and Litigation (boundary line disputes, foreclosure litigation, mechanic's lien litigation)

We counsel clients facing foreclosure.  At times this means assistance with short-sale settlements to avoid foreclosure, analysis of the rights of a lender through foreclosure and litigation protecting homeowners from illegal foreclosure or overly-aggressive foreclosure practices.

We serve clients in property boundary and easement dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration and litigation.

We represent contractors, sub-contractors and land owners in mechanic’s lien matters. A mechanic’s lien is a claimed lien against real estate by a contractor seeking to be paid for improvements made to real estate.

Bankruptcy Law and Debt Collection (consumer protection, business restructuring, representing creditors)

We represent both debtors and creditors through bankruptcy. For debtors we provide compassionate advocacy, stopping foreclosure, garnishment, and creditor harassment.

When representing creditors, we ensure that the assets of the estate are distributed according to law and the creditor’s rights are enforced to the full extent possible.

As an alternative to bankruptcy, we offer debt negotiation and debt settlement services, working with a client to negotiate a sustainable payment plan with creditors.

We litigate “adversary proceedings” when disputes related to fraud, claimed exemptions, collections or disputed rights arise in bankruptcy.
